The Brain Health Team is a foundation committed to raising funds to support the research of finding and repairing mild to moderate Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
It is estimated that more than 20% of our 1.62 million military troops deployed for duty in Afghanistan and Iraq shows signs of TBI.
Cost of care has been estimated to be between $600,000 and $1,875,000 per injured person for a lifetime – not including the loss from the individual’s economic earning capability, impact on family members, and the cost of related social services.
Currently, there are no robustly effective treatments for reducing or reversing the brain damage following mild TBI.
We are seeking funding to further test the use of targeted non-invasive light therapy as a treatment to maximize cognitive recovery in mild TBI among War Fighters. Too see more details of the study please visit The Research page.
All donations will go towards diagnosing and treating TBI in veterans. The impacts of this study are not only powerful for the veterans receiving treatment, but the findings are contributing to follow-on research leading to additional breakthroughs in brain injury diagnostics and treatment.
Treatment for one veteran with TBI costs $10,000. Please help us in raising $600,000 to provide hope and treatment for 60 veterans and their families.
